October 25, 2013 – Martin Uherek Quartet – Remembering Monk, Bratislavské jazzové dni 2013, Bratislava

Our performance of Remembering Monk on the main stage of the biggest Slovak jazz festival – Bratislava Jazz Days. With this concert we opened the 39th year and the reviews (only in Slovak) were strongly positive!

November 24, 2012 – Swingless Jazz Ensemble, feat. Martin Uherek, Big Band Festival, Budapest

Performance in Hungary, where I played as a guest star and soloist with big band Swingless Jazz Ensemble from Nitra, Slovakia, at a competition/festival. We won the big band category!

And OLD recording, a sort of rememberance of our love to the old jazz tradition. This performance was inspired by the well known album “Coleman Hawkins Encounters Ben Webster”, the duet recording of these two great masters of swing era.
